  VESAK FESTIVAL Vesak festival is the main festival of  Buddhist. Every year month of poya day we celebrate Vesak festival in a grand scale on this day. Vesak festival celebrated by highlighting 3 important events in the character of buddha. They are the birth, enlightenment and death of Gautham buddha. A lot of Buddhist people observe sill on poya day. Apart from Sri Lanka, many Asian countries including Indian, Japan, Singapore and  Tavian celebrate  Ve sak. Many religious activities are organized during this period in Sri Lanka such as a sill campaigns, bodhi pujas, dansals (coffee, tea, rice, noodles, ice cream), Vesak devotional songs, pandals and Vesak lanterns. We decorate our houses and public places and arranged for various cultural events. This is the mine where we decorate for Vesak in the past years in our house.       💗💗💗💗💗 W e all have dreams. They are different for each one. I also had dream like that since I was little. That is being a teacher. Our teachers taught us very well. They always told us to be useful citizens for our country. They told us to study very well for that. I passed the O/L and A/L exam very well. Now I am an undergraduate in University of the visual and performing arts. I am very happy about it.   The journey is beautiful overcoming obstacles like a foaming river hitting rocks. There were many obstacles for me to reach to this place. I accept them very happily and I gradually came closer to my victory. I still have little time to reach my dream. I want to be a good music teacher. That is the only hope of my parents. They work hard to teach to me. I am working very hard to fulfill their expectations.    I hope to complete my graduation and become a good teacher. That is the one of  my  pleasure.💗💗💗💗💗

There are so many singers in Sri Lanka like W,D.Amaradewa, Victor Rathnayake, Kasun kalhara, Nirosha Virajini, Shashika Nisansala, Kanchana Anuradhi. Among these, my  favorite singer is Shashika Nisansala. SHASHIKA NISANSALA   Her full name is Shashika Nisansala Jayasumana. She was born in in 28th of September in 1981. In witch means she is 41 years old. She studied at Anula collage in Nugegoda And received higher education from University of Kelaniya. She has tow children.  Shashika Nisansala started music at the age of 5. Then she joined Muthuhara and Udara musical programs in television as well as some radio programs.   MADOL DUWA " Madol duwa " is my favorite  book. It is a novel written by the well known writer Martin Wickramasinghe. It is an adventure story. This was published in 1947.And in 1976, Dr. Lester Jems  Piris made this novel in to a movie of the same name. This is a very interesting story. This book has been translated into several languages. This novel is full of escapades of the rural boyhood. The main character of this story is Upali Giniwella. His closest friend is Jinna. Upali is a motherless child.His mother died when he was seven years old. He is looked after by his step mother. He doesn't like the environment at home. So he compels to engage in various escapades with his friends. At last he runs away from home with Jinna and cultivates a land. It is called "MADOL DUWA", and island.   💧Water is equal to gold, because it is very precious. It is a valuable gift of nature. we can't live without water and every living being needs water. The earth we live on is called the blue planet because most of the earth is surrounded by water.  💧Water is very valuable To us. We need water, to drink, cook, bathe, wash clothes, water plants, generate electricity and for agricultural activities. Rain water fills rivers, waterfalls, lakes, oceans, seas and ponds. Clean water has no color taste or smell. Although we can get water from water sources, we can only use a limited amount. 💧We must cultivate the habit of drinking water daily, especially after meals because it helps to digest the food.   I am a western musical instrument.🎻 My name is violin . Some people call me fiddle. I first become popular in the century in Italy. There are 4 members in my family. They are violin, viola, cello and double bass. I am the smallest member of the stringed instrument family that produces a high note. I am a string instrument and I have 4 strings. Those strings are named as G, D, E, A. And there are many parts of my body. They are bridge, chin rest, sound halls (f halls), finger board, tunning pegs, adjusters. Most people like me have a hollow wooden body. I am often played by drawing a bow through its strings. Some people play me with their fingers. It's called "pizzicato" Before you play me, you need to tune me properly. Otherwise I won't be able to give you a beautiful sound.   There are many hobbies in my life. There are watching movies like horror films, sing songs, travelling, and cooking like that. Among them, one of my favorite hobbies is cooking different types of food.  If I have a free time I would like to cook anything like, pol toffees, kiri toffees, various types of cakes, murukku, fried rice, noodles like that. My mother teach me to cook. Specially I like to cook food that I have never cooked before. Some times I watch you tube videos' and cook various types of food. Then I take photos. After that I give my family to tastes it. That is my only happiness. 〰  NADAGAMKARAYO〰 A mong the teledramas I have seen Nadagamkarayo is a drama that I still love.💖 This is very beautiful, funny, meaningful and romantic drama series broadcast on Swarnawahini TV. And also it is created in association with folk music. This drama is directed by Jayapraksh Shiwagurunadan, produced by Chamara Samarawickrama and written by Saddamangala Suriyabandara ✍. 💚 I live in small village. The name of my village is Aludeniya. It is a beautiful village. I grew up in this village since my childhood. Our village is in the middle of a mountain range.🌄   💚I love watch the changes in the environment when the sun rises.🌞 It is a beautiful scenes. 😍An here we can see different types of flowers 💮, plants🌳 like that. And also I am very happy when I here the chirping of birds in the morning. That sound is very sweet.🐦 💚 A small stream flows through the middle of village. Some times we go to take bath. On rainy days, the stream over flows. It located on a high hill in Muruthalawa area in Kandy distict. This is a recently built temple. Venerable Wathurakumbure Dhammarathana Thero is the headed in this temple.                                        This is a international Buddhist center. And this is holy place that highlights the religious feelings that give mental freedom as well as the environmental beauty of a beautiful gorge. The temple includes sacred relics of lord buddha.
